Whether you’re a complete beginner, need a refresher, or want to expand your knitting skills, our one-on-one lessons are tailored to meet your unique knitting goals.
Private Instruction Details:
- Lessons are not limited to Third Piece projects—feel free to bring your own current knitting goals or works-in-progress, and we’ll complete them together.
- Lessons are available in-person in Boston (Charlestown), Newton, and Hingham, MA.
- Materials are not included unless that option is selected for private lesson students.
- Sessions are 75 minutes in duration.

Private Knitting Lesson Policies
Time & Scheduling:
- Please arrive promptly for your scheduled start time. If you need to review yarns, tools, or materials, plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early.
- Payment is required in advance to confirm your appointment.
- Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons punctually. If you are more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, the instructor reserves the right to cancel or shorten the lesson without refund.
Rescheduling & Cancellation:
- Please provide at least 12 hours' notice for any cancellations. Failure to do so will result in the lesson being charged at the full rate. Exceptions may be made for emergencies at the instructor’s discretion.
- Lessons will be rescheduled based on availability with at least 12 hours’ notice. While every effort will be made to accommodate rescheduling requests, availability cannot be guaranteed.
- Lessons as part of group session packs are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Lesson Planning:
- To ensure a personalized learning experience, please share your current knitting skill level and any specific goals or projects ahead of time.
- Open communication about your preferences and objectives will help tailor the lesson to your needs.
