It started with a scarf.

A simple idea to create fashion that grew into a movement about making and community.

Our Beginning

We wanted to make things differently.

With fast fashion was booming, Third Piece began with a focus on craftsmanship and a desire to preserve the human touch behind what we wear.

We partnered with local knitters around Boston to create small batches of our hand-knit designs.

Each one made by hand.

A little Boston brand that went places

Our knitwear was carried by the most renowned fashion retailers including Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman and Shopbop. We went on to open a flagship store in Boston South End that brought our 'Made By Us' or 'Made By You' concept to life.

AND SOMETHING ELSE HAPPENED

People wanted to learn how to knit.

Our Boston store became a place to gather and learn. It was there that we discovered what can happen when you learn to slow down and make something. Through those experiences we saw the power of knitting and the way it brings people together.

The business has evolved, but the patterns remain.

Over the years Third Piece has changed shape. The store closed, our yarn and knitwear lines paused and the business moved in a different direction.

But the patterns, creativity and community behind them are still there.

We're returning to reintroduce our favorite designs, curating seasonal edits for you to knit.

Shipping

ORDER & SHIPMENT CONFIRMATION:

After placing your order, you will receive an email confirmation confirming your order details. Shortly after confirmation, you will receive a shipping confirmation email along with a tracking number once your order is on its way.

ORDER PROCESSING

Order are typically processed within 2-14 business days given the hand-knit nature of our pieces. Third Piece ships packages via either USPS or UPS ground out of Boston, Massachusetts. Once an order is shipped, it can take 1-5 business days to arrive depending on where you are located.


Returns

ONLINE & IN-STORE RETURN POLICY

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, it may be returned for full refund within 14 days of receipt of delivery.  To submit a return request, please follow the instructions here:

You will be responsible for the cost of postage/courier for returned goods unless the original item was shipped in error.  All refunds will be credited for the original amount paid, less shipping fees, except in the case of a defective item or incorrect shipment. 



Items returned after the full refund period can be exchanged within 30 days of the date of purchase for another Third Piece purchase of equal value or for a merchandise credit.  If the same product is not available, an item of equal value will be offered or a merchandise credit will be issued.

All item must be unworn and in original condition with the hangtag and label attached and/or the original sales receipt.
